The iUV600s is the most popular UV Printer in the ColDesi lineup. With it’s 11.8″ print depth, commercial stand alone design it has become a staple in sign shops, promotional products producers, awards and engraving and product manufacturing.
The flagship of the Compress brand printers, the iUV1200s is the versatile business tool in UV. Inside ColDesi, this one is commonly referred to as the Problem Solver. Beautifully and permanently print onto the widest variety of items including all the way up to basketballs, and as small as marking medical testing equipment. It’s even large enough for signage, prepackaged goods and motorcycle parts.
Flatbed UV printers like the ones compared here all come with UV LED lights that instantly cure the inks. And with the ability to not just print on “flat” items, like foam core board or plexiglass, but also on more dimensional ones, like golf balls, assembled parts and packages and awards.
Because all of these UV Printers come with white ink as well, you can print vibrant colors on dark substrates AND back print clear ones. For example, a white ink layer on a plexiglass sign gives you less transparent colors and the ability to print behind the material so the image shows through from the back.
All of these commercial UV printers can also print textures. That makes it possible to produce prints that you can feel as well as that look great. You might use this technique to bring art reprints to life, to give some grip to a custom phone case OR to print ADA Braille signage.
